Leonard is a hard worker.

Leonard, a Fresno resident, holds two full-time jobs while supporting his family. His job as a security guard in a fast-growing company began in January 2014. As time progressed, he gained respect from his superiors for his strong reliability and dedicated work ethic. He was promoted to Loss Prevention Specialist, which came with an increase in his hourly wage. Within a six month period, Leonard’s job performance earned him another promotion. He became the managing supervisor of 25 security guards and Loss Prevention Specialists. His pay increased again to management level. Leonard enjoys his job greatly. He encourages and supports his staff to become more productive, safe, and effective in their positions. He leads by example and takes great pride in his duties as supervisor.

Leonard is also a Peer Support Specialist for Fresno County Department of Behavioral Health, a job he has had since March 2013. As the Peer Support Specialist at Renaissance at Alta Monte, Leonard developed a great rapport with the residents he served. Recently, he was transferred to Renaissance at Santa Clara, where he will assist 70 residents and provide additional staff support.

Along with working two full-time jobs, Leonard is currently taking a course on Saturdays to obtain a Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) credential. He will complete the course in December 2014. The credential will enhance his skills in communicating and understanding the clients he serves as a Peer Support Specialist.
